It is good p.r.-- demonstrating that Alcor is a group of normal people working as oppossed to soulless scientists secretly trying to raise the dead ala Frankenstein. (I doubt anyone reading cryonet thinks Alcor is a collection of Dr. Frankensteins, but their postings establish a public record which anyone can print out if the need to demonstrate otherwise should arise.)
