Can contributions already made to CI's fund be redirected
(just by saying so and putting the Tax ID number on the
appropriate form) to the Venturist's fund and thereby gain
tax deductibility? Or can it be done the longer way around,
by having CI forward the contributions to the Venturist,
who would then forward them back to CI? Or are we hidebound
by bureaucracy to get the contributions back and re-make
them in order to get a deduction?

Incidentally, why is CI a "Michigan nonprofit corporation"
but not 501(c)3 ?

Taxes suck.
