It is in everyone's interest for the cryonics organisations to co-exist. It is not the same as with say car manufacturers when the customers world wide are in the millions - cryonics is a very small operation in terms of the number of paying people involved. Co existence and co-operation could be the difference between success and failure of the whole movement. It is one thing to say "our way is the best and the finest" and quite another to add to this that anyone else is no good, to put it politely, or to try and suggest that there *is* no competition. It is not necessary for Ford to advise customers that they can also but a similar model from General Motors, because anyone buying a car knows that anyway. But anyone coming across cryonics for the first time is going to know very little about what is available. Which is why organisations such as the Venturists (and CI itself) try and get potential members to educate themselves about all the options and make up their own minds. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://www.deRivaz.com my homepage links to Longevity Report, Fractal Report, music, Inventors' report, an autobio and various other projects: http://www.geocities.com/longevityrpt http://www.autopsychoice.com - http://www.cryonics-europe.org - http://www.porthtowan.com Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=18386
