Subject: One size doesn't fit all

George Smith, Scott Badger, and Mark Plus have written recently about
religious questions again. A brief remark:

Not only do religions and religionists come in great variety, but no
individual thinks and acts consistently. If a potential "customer" has any
inclination to buy, you just have to give him a set of plausible reasons,
like a range of car models, and he will choose one. If he is strongly
disinclined, probably nothing you do will make any difference, but if you
avoid any obvious turn-offs at least you have a chance.

My own impression is that most people are tepid and vague in their religious
beliefs, and are likely to respect Mr. Smith's position that it's just
another medical option.
