Subject: Revival Impressive But ...

The recent success with a rat ovary was impressive (indications are that it
is not falsely reported), but contrary to claims it was not the first
revival of a cryopreserved, mammalian organ. This had already been done
with a rat intestine (many years ago), as someone reminded me in a recent,
private message. Also, the ovaries were small enough to be cryoprotected by
soaking rather than perfusion, something not feasible at the human scale.
