  Well, several other scam memes have died out, leaving an open ecological 
niche. Have you heard anyone claiming that pure socialism is the most 
efficient economic system lately? Have you heard anyone claiming that if you 
give them money that god will like you more (well, yes you have, but you 
probably didn't believe them)? As old memes die out, new ones mutate out of 
them to take their place.
