In order to prevent overpopulation, I believe cryonicists should put off breeding if they have not already reproduced. The world is not overpopulated with cryonicists, but with other forms of life, mainly Third Worlders living in dictatorships funded by US aid. In fact the developed world is below a replacement birth rate in some areas. I do appreciate your tolerance for those people already erroneously born. >2. Cultural enclaves, where cryonicists live as in the 1990's/2000's and strictly forbid any form of other technology from entering that space, need to exist. Most cryonicists would prefer to live in enclaves containing better technology. You have cryonicists confused with the Amish. Of course many Amish are working as machinists and are higher-tech than I am; maybe I should have said Andaman Islanders. PS I have a headache; can you tell? Sorry about the tone. Actually your idea of an enclave where people pay heavy taxes, never get better technology, and force their children to watch five hours of TV per day forever has the merit of being official US policy. --part1_183.3b05a1b.299f1233_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=18567
