  It's likely that many useful anti-aging supplements (e.g. lipoic acid) will 
never be patentable and will be cheap for those with the sense to use them. 
At worst an anti-aging drug will be expensive for seventeen years, after 
which it goes generic and cheap. The lab I work for may come up with 
moderately expensive (thousands of dollars) telomere reset techniques... but 
you only need to buy a telomere reset every fifty years. Most anti-aging 
techniques will be cheaper than nursing home care and agonizing death.
