Hello Dave,

I don't think you're being paranoid either. I agree, it's not IF a US city
will take a nuke hit, it's sadly now a question of WHEN. I think it should
be the duty of all cryonic providers to consider this scenario, and make
preparations. Perhaps if Timeship is put in the right location, it would
provide a safe haven for patients to survive such an event. But, do we have
time to wait??

Some time ago, I came across an old article in "Future" magazine (January
1979, pg.10) which very briefly tells of Underground Vaults & Storage in
Hutchinson, Kansas. The last paragraph of this article stated,
"Among proposed future uses: storage of sperm to insure family continuity,
of tissue for cloning and of bodies cryogenically frozen in hope of future
resurrection."

Perhaps Alcor, who already uses UV&S for the storage of patient's items,
should dust off this plan for reassessment? Other providers such as CI
should maybe look into this as well.

Brent

>The western states are going to be the safest, but not on the far West
coast. The reason for this speculation is that the whole east coast is
going to be a target so you want to get as far away from that as possible
without being on the far west coast which will also be a target. My guess
is that Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and
such are the safest areas, as long as you are 25 to 50 miles from large
cities.

does the president of the United States. At least he is making plans to
survive attacks. We should do no less???
