Date: Mon, 11 Mar 2002 17:53:01 -0500 I was surprised to receive several personal replies to my post about weapons of mass destruction and how to minimize risks. Many people are concerned about this. We have two problems to think about, damage to research, and damage to patients that are stored. In order to attract qualified people to do research, it seems that it will have to be done in populated areas. But the storage of patients can be handled by a few caretakers. Most caretakers that I know in cryonic probably would prefer to live in a rural area. I think the major cryonics organizations should poll their members to see if the memberships support moving the storage part of cryonics to rural areas that are not as likely to be targets of weapons of mass destruction.
