here's an interesting article on some recent technology that could be considered
part of a necessary precursor to 

evolved AI. Since most cryonicists will probably depend on a mature 
nanotechnology (and thus the almost a required development of

robust AI) for revival this should be seen as a good thing to see being 
developed.
