Why doesn't it make sense that, like everything else that I owned, it becomes part of my estate. Hell, it's my most valued possession! My last will and testament should be consulted to determine who exactly I want to be in charge of it. If I personally have no rights upon my death, the person I bequeath my body to certainly should. I thought that was what was happening when I bequeathed my body to ALCOR but apparently these local bureaucrats can do whatever they want. One thing I do have going for me is that I've recently established my county's coroner as my personal physician and, though he has says he has thought little about cryonics, he claims to have no negative bias about it. That's about the best I can probably do around here. Hopefully, I'll live long enough to retire to Ventureville, significantly increasing my chances for a quality suspension. I'm losing faith that anti-aging technologies will arrive soon enough for me to avoid the need for being suspended given the very conservative ethical mentality that is clearly going to be in force for a while. Cryonics, the service you hope you never need. It's kinda like any other kind of property insurance. You want to be able to fix or replace your important stuff like your car or your house (or your brain). But it's always a gamble because the insurers are only able to come through if certain conditions are met. Still, it's just stupid not to be covered. For those of you not signed up yet, how much are you spending to insure your other stuff? Best regards, Scott Badger __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
