It's my considered belief, or perhaps my youthful optimism, that indicates to me that not only will homo sapiens be off this planet in less than one century, but will be more than capable of handling interstellar debris such as asteroids or other hazards. Granted, it seems that governments do have the monopoly on space travel. However, not all governments are in on the plan; in fact, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there weren't a few rogue countries that didn't have any problems with letting private companies handle space travel for their own means. As an Anarchist at heart, I truly believe that there is a way around any problem that the benevolent men and women we call bureaucrats can throw in our way. It just requires courage and initiative to begin. K. Ulrey --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
