Re: Charle's statistics. Well done. I've often
wondered what my actual chances were of making it to a
"mild" death. Your numbers rang true and truth be told
I don't mind the uphill battle as long as I've got a
clear view of the hill. While we've all known from the
start that our endeavor to live longer is fraught with
all sorts of roadblocks we've also known that what
marks us as unique is our steady pursuit, in the face
of those roadblocks, to achieve our goal.

Logically, Charles may be right in saying that
statistically it may be better to live life large for
your remaining years rather than sock the money away
for a preservation that has a small chance of being
"optimal." I for one choose to live life large with
the perhaps blind hope that I a)will make it over the
cusp (I'm 37) or that b) my death will be mild enough
for a decent suspension. 

Hope springs eternal. Money comes and goes.
