X-Message-Number: 18966 From: Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2002 08:52:45 EDT Subject: Harvard, CI collaboration Last month Dr. Yuri Pichugin, the Cryonics Institute's director of research, visited Harvard University for two weeks, by invitation of scientists there, to collaborate in research at the Harvard Medical School. Results will be reported in the next issue of The Immortalist and on our web site. There was no dramatic break-through, but useful work was done. Needless to say, such collaboration is not only gratifying psychologically, but also has intrinsic value, since it brings CI the benefit of expensive talent and equipment without paying for it. Harvard also benefited, of course; they can afford any equipment they want, but Dr. Pichugin's skills and experience are rare if not unique in the world. We anticipate further such collaborations at major institutions from time to time.
