I've got to agree with Jeffrey that the concluding remarks were actually
quite reasonable; My biggest complaint would be that they don't give any
consideration to the prospect that some of the "curve squaring" treatments
might help you survive until real life extension is available, even if they
don't extend maximum life span.

Regarding their dismissal of immortality... It's reasonable, given what we
currently believe about physics. "Immortality" means that you live forever,
that nothing can kill you. And yet, we live in a statistical universe, and
arbitrarilly violent events can occur, with comparably low probability. Any
finite probability, however low, must eventually integrate to unity with the
passage of finite time. Living for an infinite period of time IS impossible.

Me, I'd be satisfied with eternal youth, health, and powers and abilities
far beyond those of mortal men. ;)  And THAT is most definately possible,
it's just a matter of developing the right technology.
