Rudi Hoffman, writing about The Immortalist Manifesto of "Richard Elixxir,"
says in part:

"And Elixxir is powerful, original, and profound in his indictment of the
cultural norms that say that we can't fix this "natural" state" [of
inevitable senescence].

Rudi, Rudi, Rudi! Original? Original? Original? Countless people, going back
centuries and perhaps millennia, have preceded him, and many books much
better than his have expounded the theme.

Elixxir does explicitly reject soviet-style communism, but he also
deliberately apes The Communist Manifesto of Karl Marx, ending with a
take-off on Marx's "Workers of the world, unite! You have nothing to lose but
your chains!" Change "workers" to "mortals" and "chains" to "mortality."
