This is hardly a cryonics issue, but in reply to George Goode's message about the possible inexhaustability of oil, I would simply add that oil has lots of disadvantages and if possible we should be thinking about substitutes. Like nuclear power now, fusion power in the future, solar power (which may never play a major role, but can already give us power), and other sources of power. Oil and gasoline smell, they make lots of atmospheric pollution (no I am not referring to CO2 problems, but the pollution around us in our everyday lives), and on and on.
