For Mark, John and David.

Mark, I'm right with you about apocalyptic media and memes. I have believed and
said so for years that apocalyptic media has influenced people to act against
the best interests of humanity and it is especially dangerous now. Garbage in
equals garbage out. It's that simple. I know from personal experience that
fundies not only believe we are "in the end times", but *fervently hope and
pray* for it to be so! Having the ability today to hear from all over the world,
instead of only locally as in the past, every tiny tid bit of bad news

convinces them we are in terrible times with rabid and rapid decline of society
and civilization. Actually the opposite is true and we live in remarkably less
violent and less decadent times than ever before. Premillenial belief has
plagued humankind for 2000 years... it's time we grew up! Nowadays it is
compounded by political alliances that are at best environment exploitive and at
worst environment unfriendly. Now we have believers that hope for a swift end
to everything and whom are certain their god will fix it all like better than

new aligned with those that are grabbing every buck's worth they can before it
all falls down.

James
