Monday night's Leno standup comedy included a joke
about Ted Williams. "Let's see, what else? I'm sure
you've heard this", Jay starts out. (I'm paraphrasing
now...). "... that Ted Williams is going to be frozen
at a lab in Scottsdale?" PUNCH LINE: "Is Scottsdale
really the best place to stay frozen. Shouldn't he be
in the Arctic?" [Very subdued laughs or none at all].
"Just thought I'd throw that in". [Jay's making all
kinds of faces and looking offstage to the left, then
moves on].

I waited through the entire monologue for this
reference because I was pretty sure Leno would say
something about it

Has real-world cryonics ever made it to the
Leno/Letterman/Carson level before?
