Subject: Current resolution of tissue scanning (primarily the head and neck)
From: Bobby June <>

I have not done research on this, but instead met a guy who's living in
our building that sells equipment that 3D scans the head and neck region
(this is his speciality of sales with the company). Apparently this
helps surgeons pre-nav and then, during surgery, work on a patient's
head (brain as well) and neck via their technology as, I guess, a 3D
visual assistant. I just met him, so I will gather more info.

His company's name is Medtronic ( http://www.medtronic.com ). He told
me that his company leads the industry in 3D tissue scanning and mapping
amongst other amazing technologies relating to the brain and
Parkinson's + more.

The primary question I had was at what resolution is the industry at
currently regarding their 3D scanning. He said they are at 0.5mm. Huge
for what we need, but a good marker for us to understand now. I asked
him if that's the "industry's max" right now and he said yes.
