Dear Jerry and Ralph,

I hate getting ripped off, so I'm wondering what logic (if any) lay
behind choosing a conference site so expensive that they're charging Alcor
$75 a head for a buffet reception and $40 a head for each of two lunches (as
I was told when I asked why Alcor is charging $100 for the three of them).
How does losing $55 for each person who signs up for this extra serve the
future of cryonics?

Personally, I'd like to see cryonics funds spent where they do the most
good. How many people who can't afford high conference fees (or who hate
getting ripped off even more than I do) are not going to attend this
conference because you choose this glitzy venue?

    Arthur Naiman
