For those who wondered about  my message re: fuel for vehicles.
There is at least one company which does NOT get hydrogen from
fossil (or non fossil) gases or liquids such as propane or 
oil. It has a method using a compound of boron with a catalyst
to produce hydrogen from water. No carbon waste at all. It's
claimed that the boron waste isn't gaseous and therefore will
not pollute the air (and can be reconverted back into the special
boron compound, too). 

And yes, there are other companies working on ways to make hydrogen
from gases such as propane, and then use the hydrogen in a 
fuel cell. But we may see even more surprising ways of fueling our
cars, buses, and trucks in the near future, too.
