Subject: [Off topic] Oh this is responsible!

Well sort of off topic but in some ways not. PETA would oppose Cryonics
if only for the needed experiments that irritate their pet peeve. This
article just goes to show how irresponsible this bunch of loonies can
be. Keep this in our argument arsenal if we're ever confronted for
experiments.

WHO Is Targeting Top 10 Party Colleges?

By Cathryn Conroy,

Got beer? That's the question PETA, the People for the Ethical
Treatment of Animals, is asking in a paid advertisement in newspapers on
the campuses of the nation's top 10 party colleges. The spoof of the
dairy industry's "Got Milk?" campaign is an attempt to show college
students that drinking milk is the equivalent of animal abuse. The
quarter-page ads urge students to drink beer instead of milk.

how much is being consumed! Click to find out.

"College students care about cruelty to animals, and they need to know
if they're consuming dairy products, they're promoting animal abuse and
harming their own health," Bruce Friedrich, director of vegan outreach
for the Norfolk, Virginia.-based organization, told The Associated
Press. And that has Mothers Against Drunk Driving and nutrition groups
in an uproar, charging PETA with irresponsibility. "It's absolutely
ridiculous. It's an irresponsible, recycled publicity stunt that
literally puts cows before kids. It's appalling," Wendy Hamilton,
president of MADD, told AP. The top 10 party colleges, as identified by
the Princeton Review in August, are (in order) Indiana University,
Clemson University, the University of Alabama-Tuscaloosa, Pennsylvania
State University, the University of Florida, State University of New
York-Buffalo, the University of New Hampshire, the University of
Colorado-Boulder, Florida State University, and the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. Meanwhile, a study by Texas A&M University's Center
for Alcohol and Drug Education Studies shows that even a small amount of
alcohol--one or two beers--can seriously affect judgment and driving
decisions.

Maybe a stunt like this will keep rational people from joining this
loony bin.
