Thanks to Dave Pizer for his reply. Naturally I hope that I will not
have to use Ventureville soon as a place to go and be closer to 
Alcor because I am dangerously ill.

And for Mike: I will try to access the site you mention, though I
suspect that if it hasn't been yet published hardcopy it soon
will be ... we aren't so far into computers that hardcopy isn't
still put out, especially if the result is significant.

Still we should all have thought of that possibility. After all,
by performing an effectively infinite number of operations
quantum computers would violate the initial assumptions of any
proofs that such computation is impossible. We should hardly be
surprised if this leads to violation of standard computing
truths.
