I doubt this will be an issue. I think those who make
the above assumption do so for good reasons. 

But... if reanimation were perfected first, I'm not
sure what would happen. At first there might be a
rush. Until, that is, the insurance companies caught
on and realized that their definition of death was no
longer valid. Indeed, they might well decide to pay
out on life insurance policies only on the condition
that a body be cremated. But then how could a doctor
or a family ethically allow someone near death to opt
for burial or cremation once the cryonics option is
available as a life saving medical procedure? The
answer is, I suspect, that you would transfer your
life insurnace premiums over to your health insurance
premiums. 

So the answer is that the health insurance companies
would pay for it, which is to say "we" would pay for
it on one level or another just like we all pay for
health care costs now.

Consider also that a significant increase in members
may allow for lower per/person costs for the cryonics
companies. And a $30k bill at CI is considerable
cheaper than many common surgical procedures currently
being done in our hospitals.
