Subject: A Creekside Preserve/Ventureville update

We have been extremely busy at Creekside lately. With furniture deliveries,
painters everywhere, vacuuming, various machines/systems to master, outfitting
the office with every gadget and gizmo imaginable(we have a honey of a
fax/scanner/printer), etc., we are eventually getting there!

People from all over the county and beyond are dropping by to take a look at the
place. A young German couple was very disappointed with me when I told them I
could not rent them a room! lol

I often have to put on my "tourguide hat" to satisfy the curiosity of visitors.
People are really taken aback by the beauty and upscale design of Creekside.
I love giving tours and showing the place off. : )

David has included me in the writing of a preliminary brochure for the Creekside
which has been fun for me. And I must say this place certainly can inspire a
person to wax poetic! lol When you come and see you will understand what I
mean...

The health inspector paid us a visit the other day and liked what he saw. I
should hope so after all the effort painting and cleaning the kitchen! lol We
had a talk with him where we outlined our menu plans and I got roped into down
the road taking a five hour long course in gov't rules on restaurant
cleanliness. lol

I just want to say we are very much looking forward to hosting a cryonics
gathering on the 26th and 27th of this month! Things may be a little rough
around the edges at that time, but you will from then on have the right to say
"I remember the very fun cryonics gathering they had before the place was even
officially opened!" And the bottom line is the cabins by then will be(they
basically already are) very inviting, clean and ready to go!

David from time to time takes me aside and teaches me about various aspects of
being a manager in this business. He has been in the field for decades and
really knows both the human and technical side of it. David Pizer is the master
and I am his apprentice...

Today we planted trees, I would say close to a small forest worth of them! lol!
Doing this work during the hottest part of the day sure is a good way to build
endurance(or invite heatstroke!).

I see the planting of each young tree as the start of a time capsule right on
the Creekside Preserve/Ventureville property. As the years go by I will see
them grow and blossom into large trees which beautify the place and offer needed
shade. And I would like to think as they near their full size Ventureville
will not only take shape(and take off!), but that they will be here to welcome
back those who in the mid to late 21st century return from cryonic suspension.
The oaks we planted will be witness to some mind-boggling history in the making
over the next several centuries! : )

I moved into my living quarters last night and slept well. This place is my
home now. I have double doors which lead out onto the patio which encircles the
main lodge building.

I just wanted to let you all know what we have been up to. I hope many of you
attend our upcoming cryonics gathering which will be our first opening of the
doors to the public!

best wishes to all,

John Grigg
