If Transhumanist ideas are receiving a somewhat favorable treatment in 
_Reader's Digest_, the sort of magazine my 63-year-old mother in Springdale, 
Arkansas, reads (she buys me a subscription every year!), then we may be 
closer to social acceptance than we think.
