I believe it's very much worth noting that Reader's Digest is not only "the sort
of magazine my[your] 63-year-old mother in Springdale, Arkansas, reads" it very
much is one of the biggest supporters of and home to the readership of the so
called christian right that there is. Not to bash religion here but when we get
the

(positive) interest of these folks, that's doing something. It's also worth
noting that it is and should be inevitible. Just my opinion.

Let's just hope they continue to become favorable and remain so. I've been
pushing hard with my family that it's the Christian's duty to avail themselves
of life extending technology, if not for extending their ability to spread their
particular meme (all issues aside for the moment whether that's a good thing or
not) then

simply to see their Christ's return. As it was mentioned here some Catholic
priests apparently have intimated that they would feel, should cryonics and
other life extending techniques prove to be viable, that they would press
forward the meme that to not utilize such things would be tantamount to suicide.
It would be a very
powerful and very large lobby to garner.
