The Alcor Cryofeast for 2002 will be on Sunday, December 15th at the
Creekside Lodge and Cabins in Mayer Arizona. (directions below). The time
will be from 10 am to 6:00pm, but no one is watching the clock. This
year's feast is being hosted by David and Trudy Pizer and John Grigg.
Pizers will
supply a big fat turkey (and veggie burgers for the vegatarians) and
attendees can
bring a pot-luck type dish. Please coordinate with David Pizer
on what you want to bring. Categories fall into: Salads, breads, side
dishes, chip & dip, snax, deserts and beverages. Contact David Pizer at
  or telephone at 602 439-0660.

This year we will have a special event to mark the potential increase in
Alcor's growth rate expected to start in 2003 with several new programs
that Alcor is going to implement. These will be announced at the Alcor
Conference November 15 - 17th in Newport Beach by Dr. Jerry Lemler, and
reiterated at the Cryofeast. To commemorate the great expectations of the
new year, and many years to follow, each attendee has the opportunity to
plant a tree. Over the years we will watch our special trees grow as we
expect Alcor to grow. (Trees will be supplied by Creekside).

For those who want to come up Friday or Saturday evening and spend a night
or two at the lodge, we will be offering very special rates for all
cryonicists and those who are planning to sign up soon. We will put up a
tree Saturday evening and those who are there can decorate it and help
decorate the Great Room. We will supply decorations and you can also bring
some if you like. We will sit around the warm cheery fire and make merry.
(If you can play an instrument, bring it along). If the weather permits
we will have a bonfire in the fire pit by the creek.

There will also be very special rates for any cryonicists who want to spend
Sunday evening and drive back Monday morning.

Mayer is about 4200 feet elevation. Sometimes we get a light snow and a
white Xmas.

DIRECTIONS: The Creekside Lodge (and cabins) is about an hour's drive from
north Phoenix. Starting at the Interstate 17 and the 101 freeway, go north
on the I-17 until you come to Cordes Junction. Exit at Cordes Junction and
go northwest on State Highway 69 for six miles, and there we are on the
north side of the highway. You cannot miss it, look for the lighted sign
that says "Creekside Lodge and Cabins."

If you get lost on the way, find out where you are and then call us at 928
632-0777, tell us where you are and we will give you directions from there.
