I think atheist activism is as simple a position as religious activism, as 
nobody really knows anything about the possibility of another life.  I think 
cryonics does not need to be against religion as we will all die some day, 
sooner or later.
God, if any, or our families, if any by then, will not be mad at us for being 
late, looking upset at their watches.  If there is an "other side" the only 
thing we may know about it so far is that there is no time dimension in it. 
If we get both atheist and religious activists to understand this we should 
be safe from both of them now and when we , hopefully, are "defrozen" in a 
few decades.
