I have no symapthy for the warist, bigoted and patriarchal religions of the world, especially the 3 "Abrahamic" religions - but this comment is rather strange. Since when have Muslims used a nuke in a war? The only people to do that are Americans. The Pakistanis may have been playing nuclear brinkmanship, but so were the India Hindus. Hussein may have WMD (the new focus/buzzword of Bush's war now that he can't find bin Laden), but his dictatorship has mainly been secular (I mean Hussein's, not Bush's). Only recently has he had the guile to use Islam to dupe others. It also seems strange for people who are hoping for/expecting postive technological changes in the future to assume that the Muslim religion won't become tolerant, then accepting, then liberal (as it at times has been). The current threat of certain Muslim groups is certainly repulsive and alarming, but not something that will last forever. It seems to me that is almost any society, no matter how thoughtful, that dead cryonauts will be considered *after* the living - as secondary, as less important; though I admit this is very different to being unplugged for no reason better than death-loving religious dogma. Eat lentils and other high-protein vegitables whilst protesting against current intensive/factory farming and fishing methods.
