to Ferrel

An excerpt:
>>>>

No deal is imminent, but both sides said talks seeking
a quiet end to the headline-grabbing squabble
continue.

The new negotiations involve a $600,000 trust Williams
left to be evenly divided between his three children.

Hmmm. That's funny. I recall seeing several times that
his will specifically excluded/disinherited her
because Ted said she had already been provided for.

>>>
His eldest daughter, Barbara Joyce ''Bobby-Jo''
Ferrell, has spent a considerable portion of her
retirement savings contesting the freezing plan in an
ongoing court case.

Williams's only son, John Henry, who devised the
cryonics plan, has some influence over the trust: His
close friend Al Cassidy is a key trustee. Through
lawyers, Ferrell suggested she would consider dropping
her case in exchange for assurances that her share of
the trust would be delivered without dispute,
according to a source close to the Williams family.

John Henry Williams agreed two weeks ago not to
interfere with Ferrell's share, according to a
spokesman for the Ted Williams estate. A Florida court
must still approve the arrangement, which would give
each sibling a $200,000 lump sum. But it remains to be
seen whether Ferrell will respond by dropping her case

I remarked on the possiblity of this angle coming into
play months ago. Looks like I was right....
