Subject: Rewritable CDs - CD-RW - size problem/writing problem

Cannot figure out the problem with the size of blank rewritable CDs -
(CD-RW). When I click on the CD icon and explore the CD it shows nothing on
it. When I click "Properties" it shows 350 MB available, while it is a 700
MB CD and shows apparently it's blank since no files show up! :o(

Another one shows "0" used and "0" available - what gives? I cannot record
anything on it at all.

I have used these rewritable CDs before for writing, and rewriting several
times and have deleted files from them several times. Now this puzzles me.
Any suggestions?

Several people told me that you either need to format rewritable CDs (don't
think you can do that, just "erase the disk") or because I've used them
before, they are toast :o(.

I wonder if someone knows how long these rewritable CDs can last - how many
times can you rewrite them? I don't think I have wrote more than 10 times on
each. Is that all they can handle? For that high price that you pay for them
:o(

Please, "cc:" me when you reply to the list.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

IGGY Dybal
