Thermopiles can work from much smaller temperature differences than mechanical heat to electricity systems. Such differences are readily available, such as between points underground and the surface. The problem is conduction to the thermopiles but this can be overcome. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, Holistics, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=20691
