Well, I have had on going problems with depression for a number of years
now, problems which have recently worsened due to financial problems and
the trouble that my employer has had me on unpaid leave since
Thanksgiving and won't give me an answer about whether or not I have
been/will be fired!

So, you have my sympathy, for whatever that's worth.
