It is hostile to us, and shows us that every day.." FWIW, I've always viewed the universe as a neutral thing that is simply "there," with an infinite supply of features both comfortable and uncomfortable. Thomas' description giving it an anthropomorphic consciousness which intends hostility, is a bit much to swallow. It is akin to belief in an anthropomorphic deity. I'd agree with Thomas though, that if/when God shows up, it will be time to break out the phasers and photon torpedoes. Cryonics relevance: The above lends optimism for success, as we are needing only to work our way around lesser minds and known obstacles, rather than fighting for our lives against an all-encompassing being intent on our destruction. Cheers. --=====================_331834903==_.ALT Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=20777
