This discussion reminds me of an concept floated somewhere years ago--
suppose someone duplicated me, using exactly half of me?  Which would be
the original and which the duplicate?  There is exactly half of the
original material in both, both have exactly the same memories, and both
are identical to the "original".  The only conclusion I can draw are that
either both are me or neither.  (Of course, if that ever happens to me,
the answer I would prefer is that both are me!)
