Subject: CRYONICS Bracelets

IMPORTANT:
At the Easter Sunday (date picked by accident, but very symbolic anyway)
meeting of Alcor UK we discussed the wording on bracelets. We're all
going to have to have new ones due to area code change soon, so it would
be a suitable time to clear up problems. The 800 number on some peoples'
bracelets does not work outside the US, hence is not much good to us over
here, or for people who travel a lot. Also, the temperature to be cooled
to is different on different bracelets some say 10C and some say 2C,
which strike me as being too hot or too cold respectively. (Farenheit
temperatures are too confusing by far - let's kill them off, except for
central heating controllers which look ridiculous in centigrade.)

Chit-chat:
ALCOR UK'S VERY OWN TAGGART/D'ANCONIA

[Non-UK readers: British Rail was created in the 40's by the
nationalisation of the railway companies.]
I had a long chat on the phone with a new sign-up, Tim Hanson. He sounds
like a bluff Lancashire man of 34 years, who runs a private railway
company. At the moment they just do charters, but will be bidding for
regular services when British Rail gets liberated (a word he prefers to
privatised - I wonder if he has read Atlas Shrugged, I must find out). He
is also happy to do press stuff in his area, but being a Northern railway
pioneer won't put up with any of the ususal journo shennanigans. I
imagine he calls a spade a bloody shovel.
