DON LAUGHLIN'S CASINO

Our regular second Sunday meeting will be held at the executive
office in Don Laughlin's casino on the third Sunday of the month to
avoid a conflict with Easter. It will be held at 1 P.M. on April
18th. To reach the Riverside casino in Laughlin, Nevada, take 95
south from Las Vegas, through Henderson, where it forks between 95
and 93. Bear right at the fork and stay on 95 past Searchlight until
you reach the intersection with 163 a little before the border with
California. Go left on 163 and stay on it until you see signs for
Laughlin. You can't miss the Riverside Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.
For more information, call Eric Klien at (702) 897-4176. He'll be
car pooling there with other Las Vegans.

Cryonics legal expert, H. Jackson Zinn, will be attending this
meeting!!!

WEST LAS VEGAS MEMORIAL CHAPEL

This funeral home has agreed to 1) provide personnel to pick up
bodies 2) provide transport vehicles 3) provide embalming stations
(for use of their supplies) 4) to fill out all transport
authorization 5) to be available 24 hours a day. The cost will be
$250/year plus $1000/use. Alcor Laughlin will handle the $250/year.
Individual Alcor Laughlin members will handle the $1000/use charge as
they need it.

Alcor Laughlin is waiting for Tanya Jones to determine the best
wording of this agreement. Once she has done this, such an agreement
will be signed. At this point, Tanya has had only a few days to look
at the rough draft of the agreement, but she'll obviously have the
time before the next newsletter is published.

DOCTORS

Katie said that she thought her doctor would make a good family
doctor for all local Alcor members. She will speak to him before our
next meeting. J. D. Smith also found us a doctor who is willing to
pronounce death, but the doctor was not a family doctor that you
could go to on a regular basis, building up a relationship.

MERCY AMBULANCE

Jerry Searcy has confirmed that our names are now in Mercy
Ambulance's database.

NEW DIMENSIONS IN CRYONICS: CRITICAL ISSUES FOR THE 21ST CENTURY

This conference will begin on May 28th at the Red Lion Hotel at the
Ontario Airport in California. Don't miss it!

DUES

If you wish to get the benefits of Alcor Laughlin's services, you
must pay for them. Dues are $25/month per family. Dues will be
ended whenever we have bought everything that is necessary.
Currently we are raising money to pay for the West Las Vegas Memorial
Chapel agreement. Assuming that five local Alcor members paid dues
of $25/month, it would take two months to pay for this agreement. So
far Eric Klien, Katie Kars, and Jerry Searcy have paid the first
month's dues.

PUBLICITY

The mailing to the Nevada inquiry list generated no people for this
meeting. I will wait at least one more month before I use this list
again.
