What a great abstract!  Thanks Randy for posting to the list.  Kind of gives 
you a bit of hope that with the now developing full body vitrification 
procedures that cryonics might be very successful, assuming cooling starts at 
the moment of death.  Perhaps even more successful than we would hope, sooner 
than we thought, and requiring less advanced systems for recovery than we are 
now postulating necessary- for those who are suspended under the best 
possible situations, at least.
