X-Message-Number: 2161 Date: 26 Apr 93 15:01:14 EDT From: Charles Platt <> Subject: CRYONICS Alcor New York To: Cryonet April 26, 1993 The New York chapter of Alcor will be having a special meeting on the third Sunday in May. Visiting us from Philadelphia will be Professor Mel Seesholtz, the creator of the world's first cryonics curriculum, at Penn State University. Mel will be speaking under the title, "The Future of Cryonics." His talk will be illustrated with color slides. Also visiting us will be Brenda Peters, who will talk about the changes that cryonics has made in her life, and the changes it can make in yours (if you're not yet signed up). We'll have refreshments on hand. We're asking for a voluntary donation of $4 per person to cover costs of this special meeting. The meeting will be in Manhattan at 72nd Street Studios, located at 131 West 72nd Street, New York, NY 10024, commencing at 3:30 PM on Sunday May 16th. We will also have our regular monthly business meeting, commencing one hour earlier, at 2:30 PM, for anyone who is interested. The special meeting will be advertised in the Village Voice, and we will be circularizing about 200 people in the New York area. We will also be making phone calls to about 100 people who have expressed interest or visited our meetings in the past. And, we will have a table at a street fair on the preceding day, where we will be giving out literature. We're hoping to drag in a few new members this way, and we'd really appreciate it if YOU could find the time to drop in, if you're within reach of New York City.
