These warning always seem to occur when the oil companies have their 
man in the Whitehouse.

Keep in mind that the origin of gas may not be fossils at all, but vast 
reserves trapped in the core at the time of Earth's formation. Deep gas 
has been found. One theory is that the movement of the crustal plates 
is driven by the evolution of this gas. Hydrogen is by far the most 
common element in the Universe.

Proven reserves of oil have been rising every since measurements 
started being recorded. Last time I was in Alaska, they were having so 
much trouble pumping all the gas back down, that they were looking for 
something else to do with it, like burn it off. Keep your eyes open for 
a change in the regulations, it will not get much coverage in the news.
