In Cryonet #22134, Alan Mole asks, if I can summarize correctly, if we are
comforted by the prospect of entities of the Singularity going back in time
and recording the mind of everyone who ever lived, thus making cryonics
irrelevant.

I, for one, am not very comforted. The largest issue I see here is, "Why
would they want to?" Logical to have hope that they would? About as
logical as if humans had the capability, they would go back in time and
record the minds of all the mice who ever lived.

Another issue is whether one wishes to remain an individual in a
carbon-based body, or become assimilated into a Singularity. A cryonics
organization at least provides for the body, and if wise, for substantial
future networking support to give the body a chance to be revived. I
wonder how many who now choose that option will be in the future resistance
movement to the Singularity...
