While it would be nice to be reanimated from cryonic suspension to find a
fortune awaiting me from the trust fund I left behind, I do not think that
this is either likely or necessary.

In my own case, the cost of cryonics (neurosuspension option, insurance
policy premiums and annual dues) is just barely affordable, since I also
have a wife and kids to support and I am not financially well-off.

I consider my voyage to the future to be similar to the voyage of penniless
immigrants to America. For nearly all of them, America provided the
opportunity for a better life. And for some of them, who had the right
combination of brains and guts and perseverance, it was the chance to make a
fortune.

I'll take my chances in the future even if there is no trust fund awaiting
me. Getting there--to that future where the science and technology exist to
revive me--is what really counts.
