In correspondence with a young Russian, Danila Medvedev for an upcoming
Immortalist article, he included this:

"This one is semi-serious, but anyway: Russian biologist Sergey Bodrov
declared a small territory in Antarctica an independent state. The name of
 the new country is
"Immortia" meaning "land of immortals". Bodrov found out that some
unclaimed territories (lay) near the South Pole and claimed them in
accordance
 with the international law.

Sergey Bodrov proclaimed himself a Prince of Immortia and has already
developed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of
Immortia. The main principle of the Consitution is life extention by any
means possible, including cloning that is allowed in Immortia. This has
been covered by some newspapers and Russian TV."
