Since Dr. Lemler has offered his resignation, this question is no longer
relevant, and the memo is no longer relevant.

Charles, what prompted you to write a 27 page document which attacked the
performance of Dr. Jerry Lemler and asked for his resignation? I think this
subject is still VERY relevant.

What exactly had this man done to bother you and/or hurt Alcor so much?
Considering Dr. Lemler worked such long hours and seemed so devoted to his work,
why did you see the need to write TWENTY-SEVEN PAGES of material complaining
about him and saying he should step down? Dr. Lemler was in fact so dedicated
he didn't even have enough time for his wife and family.

And what really makes me ANGRY is that you went on your vendetta while Dr.
Lemler was fighting for his life against possibly terminal cancer. Talk about
kicking a man when he's down...

Did Dr. Lemler actually resign of his own accord or was he secretly forced out
and just given the option of saving face by appearing to resign? And if the
latter was true did you take part in this? Are secret meetings becoming the way
of doing business at Alcor now?

Regarding Larry Johnson, I sometimes wonder about your wisdom in confiding so
much in a man who was new to cryonics and had a prickly and anger prone
personality (yes, even I picked up on this about him). I felt you "fed the
fire" by sharing your doubts and irritations with him.

And why did you give him a copy of your 27 page report against Dr. Lemler? I
would think if you felt you just had to get your opinions out, that at least
only directors would have been given copies.

A part of me feels your resignation as an Alcor officer was the act of a prima
donna who wanted to lay back and enjoy everyone saying "Charles, please come
back to us!" lol! You are a very gifted person but I think your involvement in
cryonics comes at a steep price for Alcor due to your sometimes unwise and
contentious actions. I just find it strange you have been made out to be almost
a hero by some cryonet posters.

sincerely,

John Grigg
