Hi everyone!

As many readers of Cryonet know, I am now resident in Australia and
continue to be a member of Alcor (even when the Chamberlains were
the main officers) because the life insurance policies supporting my
membership come from American companies.

And all the recent events at Alcor, from my distance, seem quite
mysterious. CRYONICS has basically turned into a simple sales implement,
with little real information about problems and troubles going on in
Alcor. Sales material is needed, but something with a lot more substance
is needed too, especially for members. As of now, I don't even know
who the new President of Alcor will be.

Though I cannot speak for my wife, Cath Woof, I firmly believe that
Alcor's response to her and the general lack of information about what's
happening there, had a significant role in her decision to move to CI.
At one time Alcor was a lot more open. Lots of people seemed to dislike
him, but Mike Darwin was President during part of this period. (People
are rarely totally bad or good).

I really don't care how it's done, over the Net or otherwise, but
Alcor should tell us foreigners (including those who don't live right
next door) much more about what's happening there.

Best wishes and long long life to all,

                  Thomas Donaldson
