X-Message-Number: 22763 From: "Reason" <> Subject: Urgent request from Suspended Animation, Inc. - Take Action Before November 6th! Date: Mon, 3 Nov 2003 02:29:53 -0800 I'm being remiss; I had thought that this had already been posted to this forum. I have set up a page at the Longevity Meme relating to this item. Please visit and see how you can spend a few minutes minutes of your time to help: http://www.longevitymeme.org/projects/help_suspended_animation.cfm This has also made it into my latest newsletter, and is about to hit the relevant usenet groups. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION BEFORE NOVEMBER 6TH! The poster below is correct in that this affects all of us; Florida is not the only state in which the state-licensed funerary business is behind attempts to block cryonics operations. In addition, seriously funded and well-directed cryonics research is something that has been lacking in the industry. If this effort is blocked, it will be a while before another surfaces; without serious research, measured improvement and spin-off technologies, cryonics will continue to to be niche, small, and under threat.
