Most people on this forum are here because they came to the conclusion that they don't want to die. They converse here and share ideas, hoping to help improve their chances to avoid eternal death. Here are some suggestions that might help your chances that I would like to respectfully share with everyone on this forum. 1. Tell your friends, co-workers, and everyone you meet that you are signed up for cryonics. If you present a good image, and I'm sure most of us do, then discussing your desire for cryoincs and long extended life or physical immortality will sound more reasonable. I have found that most non-cryonicists think they understand what we are doing and why, but they really don't. The more you can engage them in respectful discussion, the more they will become cryo-friendly. Give them material to read. 2. Donate some money to your cryonics organization. Put your money where your mouth is. Both major cryonics suspensions organizations can make good use of donations. Donate as much as you can afford and as often as you can afford to. Contribute as if your life depended on it. 3. Support the non-suspension cryonics organizations. These organizations, that don't collect fees when a suspension is done, are sometimes given more considerations when they speak about cryonics since so many non-cryonicists still think that the suspension cryonics organizations are making money from doing suspensions. 4. Take good care of yourself. There is always the outside chance the age-reversing technology might come along before you have to go into the tank. 5. Attend various cryonics functions when you can. It is encouraging for the leaders in cryonics to see a good turn out at a board meeting, conference or other event. Running a cryonics organization, they are mostly run by all volunteers, can be very trying at times. An occasional thank you goes a long way. Unlike most businesses or movements, doing cryonics is going to get harder, not easier, as the organizations grow. So showing your continuing support is very important. If you are already doing the above, give yourself a pat on the back. Good Job!
